Who we are and what we do
Hand:
We believe in the power of handmade. Taking care of every detail from the design process (pen and random bits of paper is still a favourite) to the creation of jewellery in our studio in Edmonton, Canada, to conscious packaging and taking care of our community. We'll leave a mark on the world. Make it a good one.
Laboratory:
Our road has taken many turns and we have no reason (or desire) to believe that life will ever be a straight line. Every moment is an adventure. We don't believe in the ordinary. We observe, we test, we take leaps of faith. And if we fail, we try again. Our jewellery is a mix of heavy experimentation and eureka moments.

Hello! I'm Victoria Sanchez. The hands, the heart and the mind behind Hand Laboratory, a new jewellery brand I’m eager to share with the world!
I am an artist and arts administrator currently enjoying life in Edmonton, Canada. How I ended here is kind of a long story but my roots take me back to Mexico City, where I was born and raised - and then Calgary where I lived for 10 years and graduated from the Alberta College of Art + Design.
I have a solid relationship with craft and I love experimenting with materials, design, and processes - which makes the possibilities endless. Hope you like what you see! Feel free to reach out with comments, questions and requests!
